Richard Paul Mooney Jr.

Richard Paul Mooney Jr., age 56, of Meadowlands, Pa., passed away on August 6, 2026.  He was born November 20, 1969, to the late Richard Paul Mooney Sr. and the late Sherry McDonough Jones.

Before retiring from a career in welding, he enjoyed working as a CAD programmer, watching NASCAR races, building model cars, and eating out. His favorite times were spent with his children.

He is survived by his two sons, Garrett and Tanner Mooney of Lawrence, Pa.; three siblings, Terri McElhaney and Jason (Terri Williams) Mooney, both of Canonsburg, Pa, and Steven Mooney of New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Mooney of New Jersey.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. the hour of the funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington. S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor; S. Timothy Warco II, Director; and Holly Renay Warco, Director. Burial will be private.
