William "Bill" Mark MacTaggart

April 13, 1953 - March 23, 2015

William “Bill” Mark MacTaggart, 61 of Washington died Monday-March 23, 2015 unexpectedly. He was born April 13, 1953 in Corry Pa. His childhood was spent in Harborcreek, Pa. with his parents T.R. and R. Joycelyn MacTaggart. He had three sisters (Lucinda, Holly and Laurie) and a brother (Thomas). He attended Harborcreek High School and Pennsylvania State University, Behrend. He was Student Government President and sat on the Penn State Board of Trustees. That is where he met his wife of almost 40 years Denise (DeDe) Shannon MacTaggart. Bill followed his Father and became a State Farm agent before deciding he wanted to try other things. His many ventures had him open arcades in Erie, refinish the Erie Museum's antique pool table before he found his spot in telecommunications. Bill's forward thinking led him to found the first private pay phone company in Pennsylvania in 1984 and firmed up his move to his many successes at AT&T as a National Equipment Manager. He designed the US Airways Crystal City project to name one. He was an internationally known Dog Breeder. This led the family to open Pavlov's Place (dog daycare/kennel) in Washington, Pa. He enjoyed target shooting and was an avid pool and ping pong player. Bill and DeDe were blessed to have three wonderful sons, Scot, Christopher and Zachary MacTaggart as well as their wives, Rebecca, Kara and Meghan. His grandchildren were the loves of his life, Jackson, Anna, Harland, Finnegan, Thelonious and Elias. He is so deeply missed.
