Herbert Lockett III, 24 of Washington went to be with the Lord on Friday-April 24, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh following a short illness. Known to most as “Little Herbie”, he was born on November 29, 1990 to Herbert and Carol Jean Lockett. He received his formal education from John F. Kennedy Elementary and Trinity High Schools. He was employed by GMS Mine Repair & Maintenance, Inc.
Herbie was an avid reader, soccer player and a powerful swimmer who enjoyed being with his big brother Jamaal and teaching his younger cousins how to swim.
Herbie was engaged to Alyssa Chandler for the past two years. This beautiful family was made complete last May 5th by the birth of their adorable son Jaiden.
In addition to his loving parents, his brother Jamaal, his fiance’ and son Jaiden, Herbie leaves to mourn his passing a step-daughter Celiena, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends that loved him unconditionally.
Services will be delivered by the Rev. Arthur E. Doctor Jr. at 11:00 am on Friday-May 1, 2015 at the Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, 16 Ridge Avenue, Washington. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Saint Paul A.M.E. Church.
