Nettie A. “Peaches” Robinson

Nettie A. “Peaches” Robinson 72, of Washington formerly of Pittsburgh died Sunday- August 28, 2016 at 5:35 a.m. at Southmont of Presbyterian Sr. Care, Washington.  She was born January 31, 1944 in Pittsburgh the daughter of the late Leroy Bradley & Virginia Wilkins Phillips.  Mrs. Robinson was employed as a Supervisor of the Fuel & Energy Program at the Department of Public Welfare for 35 years until her retirement.  She was a 1962 graduate of Schenley High School in Pittsburgh and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Washington. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed singing in the choir, studying the Bible and was the “Dean of the Harty Bible School” in Washington.  She was also a Deacon at the New Hope Baptist & Friendship Baptist Church.  Mrs. Robinson served in the United States Air Force from 1963 until 1965 and also served in the United States Army Reserves.    

On January 21, 1987 she married George Robinson Jr. of Washington who survives.  Also surviving is a son; Derrick (Heather Henri) Brent of Aliso Viejo, California along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by a step-daughter; Rae Lowe and a brother; Leon Bradley.        

Friends will be received on Thursday – September 1, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday- September 2, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church, Washington, with Pastor Richard White & Pastor Lance Whitlock officiating.  Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.  Full Military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175 and the United States Air Force.
