Gladys M. Goroncy, 94 of Scenery Hill died Saturday-October 28, 2017 at 2:32 a.m. at Strabane Woods, Washington. She was born December 1, 1922 in Washington the daughter of the late Roy and Goldie E. Fuller McBride. Mrs. Goroncy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. She enjoyed her gardening of flowers & vegetables, cooking, baking and sewing. Mrs. Goroncy fostered over 32 children treating them as her own and enjoyed her family to the fullest.

On September 5, 1950 she married George J. Goroncy who died on February 13, 2000. Surviving are her children; son; George D. (Victoria) Goroncy of Scenery Hill, daughters; Joan (Robert) Kitchell of Canonsburg & Barbara Griest of Fairmont, West Virginia, a brother; Harry McBride of Washington, seven grandchildren; George J. Goroncy, Michael D. (Danielle) Goroncy, Shannon Griest, Samuel Griest, Brittany Griest, Nicole Scheletsky, & Eric Scheletsky, three great-grandchildren; Michael Goroncy, Tucker Goroncy & Peyton Goroncy. Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Mrs. Goroncy was preceded in death by four brothers; Ralph, Harold, Walter & Roy McBride, four sisters; Anna Wyland, Stella Munchie, Margaret Kimble & Ruth Razvoza.

Friends will be received on Monday-October 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A blessing service will be held on Tuesday-October 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
