Robert Emmett “Bob” Wyland, 56 of Bolivar formerly of Washington died unexpectedly on Sunday-December 24, 2017 in his home as a result of an apparent heart attack. He was born June 21, 1961 in Washington Pa. the son of the late John G. and Nyma L. McVehil Wyland. Mr. Wyland graduated from Trinity High School in 1979. He worked as a Psychiatric Aide for the state of Pennsylvania at Western Center and later at Torrance State Hospital from where he retired after more than thirty years of employment in the mental health industry. Mr. Wyland enjoyed hunting fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of several fraternal organizations including the Moose Lodge # 22, the Independent Political Club, the Sons of the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175, the American Legion Riders Post # 639 and in recent years he had become very involved with the Bolivar American Legion Post # 128.
Surviving are two brothers; William M. (Nancy) Wyland of Washington and Edward M. (Gerri) Wyland of Washington, three sisters; Marion (Dan) Krehel of Washington, Nyma (Ralph) Blatt of Washington and Elaine (Edward) Budner of Washington. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Wyland was preceded in death by one brother; John C. Wyland.
Friends will be received on Thursday-December 28, 2017 from 1 - 3 P.M. and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday-December 29, 2017 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. The Moose Lodge # 22 will render a service at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sons of the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175, 168 Park Ave. Washington Pa. 15301.
