Audrey Hower Rotunda

Audrey Hower Rotunda, 81 of Washington died Thursday-April 27, 2017 at Transitions Health Care Center after a two year illness.  She was born March 10, 1936 in Pancake, Washington the daughter of the late Stanley Wayne Hower and Opal Day Hower Mollenauer.  Mrs. Rotunda was a 1953 graduate of Chartiers High School where she was also a cheerleader.  She had been employed as a Bell Telephone Long Distance Washington Operator, an operator at the Washington & Pittsburgh Test Center, J.C. Penneys Office & Credit, Ward Electric Office and Precision Industries (Precision Marshall Steel) for 20 years up until her retirement. 

Mrs. Rotunda was a member of the Washington & Jefferson Bridge Club which was held in the George Washington Hotel, was on the Executive Board at 7th Ward School Midget programs at the Brownson House, Bell Telephone Ten Year Club where she was President, AARP & Beta Sigma Phi. She was also manager of the Bell Telephone Softball Team and President of the league. 

Mrs. Rotunda was formerly married to Frank Joseph Rotunda Sr. who survives.  Also surviving is a son; Frank Joseph Rotunda Jr. of Washington, a daughter; Cynthia “Cindi” Rotunda Pruce (Scott Pruce) of Nashua, New Hampshire, 5 grandchildren; Christina (Frank) Zaccone of Washington, Alyssa Rotunda of Washington, Julianne Rotunda of Washington, Alexander Pruce of Manhattan, New York & Jordan Pruce of Ithica, New York, 3 great grandchildren; Audrianna Zaccone, Alexandra Zaccone & Hunter Chappel.  Several nieces & nephews also survive. 

Mrs. Rotunda was preceded in death by a brother; Stanley Wayne Hower & two sisters; Margaretta “Peggy” Hower Greer & Rebecca Hower.

Friends will be received on Sunday-April 30, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A funeral service will be held on Monday-May 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
