Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Eva I. Shearer, 90 of Washington died Monday-April 3, 2017 at 8:05 p.m. in her home.  She was born November 11, 1926 in Worthington the daughter of the late Erwin & Chloe’ Harman Bowser.  Mrs. Shearer was the Senior Vice President of Shearer Heating Company for many years.  She was a graduate of Worthington High School & Wilma Boyd Professional School.  Mrs. Shearer was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Glyde.  She enjoyed baking, gardening and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Lions Club.  Mrs. Shearer also volunteered at the Washington Hospital with the Ladies Auxiliary.  Most of all she loved her role of homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother & great- grandmother. 

On September 1, 1945 she married W. Richard “Dick” Shearer who survives.  Also surviving are her children; son; Jeffrey (Brenda A.) Shearer of Bloomsburg & daughter; Jean (Matthew) Lucas of Washington, brother; Rev. Mont (Eileen) Bowser of Greensburg, 5 grandchildren; Joseph (Lauren) Shearer, Sean (Connie) Shearer, Rebecca Weaver, Nicole Weaver & Chloe’ S. Shearer, 4 great- grandchildren; Katie Shearer, Brooke Shearer, Connor Shearer and Matty Berdine.  Several nieces & nephews also survive. 

Friends will be received on Thursday-April 6, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A funeral service will be held on Friday-April 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Glyde with the Rev.
