Ruth Kulla, 85 of Washington died Saturday-April 8, 2017 at the Transitions Personal Care Facility, Washington.  She was born September 10, 1931 in McKees Rocks the daughter of the late William & Mary Finn Landefeld. She graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School in McKees Rocks.  Mrs. Kulla was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Immaculate Conception Church prayer group.  She had been employed at the American Auto Insurance Company and in the office at the Republic Insurance Company in Gateway Center.  Mrs. Kulla enjoyed painting, helping out at John F. Kennedy Grade School & Immaculate Conception High School, wrote short novels, participated as a Girl Scout Leader for a Girl Scout Troop and most of all loved just spending time with her family. 

On April 26, 1958 she married Edward Kulla who died October 3, 2008.  Surviving is a daughter; Sandra L. Kulla of Washington, a son; Scott Patrick Kulla of Washington, a brother; Robert (Linda) Landefeld of Citrus Heights, California, 2 sisters; Jeananne Rose of Kennedy Twp. and Lorraine Gratkie of Oakdale, a sister in law; Fran Applegate of Washington.  Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Mrs. Kulla was preceded in death by a brother; William Landefeld Jr.

Friends will be received on Tuesday-April 11, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A prayer service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday-April 12, 2017 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington.  Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Washington City Mission 84 W.
