Catherine N. Patterson, 71 of Amity died Tuesday-January 23, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family.  She was born January 6, 1947 in Waynesburg, Pa. the daughter of the late Chester and Johnetta Antill Shriver.  At one time Mrs. Patterson worked at Faith Christian School in Washington and at the Open Door Christian Academy in Lipencott.  She also volunteered at the Christian Outreach Center in Marianna.  Mrs. Patterson enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Surviving is her husband of over 52 years; Victor D. Patterson of Amity.  Also surviving are her children; a daughter; Cathy (Randy) Thornhill of Elkins, West Virginia, two sons; Dale (Jackie) Patterson of Mt. Morris, Pa. and Donald (Crystal) Patterson of Amity, one brother; Robert Shriver of Texas, two sisters; Donna Shriver Zook of West Virginia and Betty (Everett) Sine of West Virginia.  Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her mother and father, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by two brothers; William Shriver and Chester Shriver Jr.

Friends will be received on Friday-January 26, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S.
