Richard W. "Rich" Yanock

Richard W. “Rich” Yanock, 70 of Washington formerly of Cleveland, Michigan, Lima, Ohio & Sao Paulo, Brazil died Friday-January 5, 2018 in his home.  He was born April 25, 1947 in Cleveland the son of the late George & Lucille Meyer Yanock.  Mr. Yanock was a graduate of Chanel High School, John Carrol University receiving his Bachelor’s Degree and Detroit Mercy receiving his Master’s Degree.  He was employed at Ford Motor Company retiring as a Financial Controller after 35 years of employment. Mr. Yanock enjoyed fishing and loved to travel.  He was a member of the Issac Walton League, the Fortnitely Club, the Center for Coalfield Justice, the 10 mile Protection Network and started the movement of “Stop the Towers” which was affiliated with stopping the power lines coming through. 

On January 4, 1969 he married Linda M. Kish Yanock who survives.  Also surviving are his children; one daughter; Dr. Christa Malinak of Washington, one son; Edward Yanock of Phoenix, Arizona, one brother; William “Willie”Yanock of Houston, Texas, three granddaughters; Emma Malinak, Bailey Yanock & Brea Yanock. 

In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Yanock was preceded in death by a brother; George Yanock.

Friends will be received on Friday-January 12, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A prayer service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday- January 13, 2018 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington.  Burial will be private.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Concordia Hospice of Washington, 10 Leet St. Washington Pa. 15301.  Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
