John R. "Jack" Frantz

John R. “Jack” Frantz, 87 of Washington died Thursday-February 1, 2018.  He was born April 8, 1930 in Monessen, Pa. the son of the late John A. and Margaret Marino Frantz.  Mr. Frantz graduated from Washington High School in 1948 and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  He was employed for 33 years at National Annealing Box Company before going to work for the Federal Government from where he retired.  Mr. Frantz served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175.  He was also a member of the Keystone Club and enjoyed golfing. 

On August 11, 1950 he married Marie Burnfield of Washington who survives.  Also surviving is one son; Matthew (Diane) Frantz of Washington, two daughters; Kathleen Warren of Tampa, Florida and Jacqueline (Randell) Sehres of Valrico, Florida, one sister; Peggy Waldygo of Washington, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Frantz was preceded in death by two daughters; Jennifer Lynn Frantz and Elaine McAnany.
