Carole Ann Manspeaker Hudak

Carole Ann Manspeaker Hudak, 78 of Washington died Monday-April 16, 2018 at the Donnell House, Concordia Hospice of Washington following a courageous battle with leukemia.  She was born July 9, 1939 in Braddock, Pa. the daughter of the late Ted and Kay McElroy Manspeaker.  Mrs. Hudak graduated from Shaler High School in 1957.  She worked for West Penn Power from 1973 until 1996 and later became employed as a switchboard receptionist at the Observer Publishing Company from 1999 until 2016 from where she retired.  Mrs. Hudak enjoyed reading and puzzles.  She was the matriarch of her family and she cherished the time that she spent with them.  Her family meant everything to her.  She “Fought the Good Fight” and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On April 18, 1959 she married Gene Hudak who died December 26, 2016.  She is survived by two daughters; Tracy Hudak (Craig) Grucza of Dallas, Texas and Shari A. Von Scio of Washington, Pa., a brother; Bill Manspeaker of Michigan, four grandchildren; Sean Eugene Grucza, Eric Stephen Grucza, Robert Anthony (Sara) Von Scio and Emily Hope Newman, two great-grandchildren; Chaucer and Sebastian Von Scio.  Also surviving is her beloved Miniature Daschund; Tilley.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, Mrs. Hudak was preceded in death by a sister; Patricia Cole.

Friends will be received from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. the hour of a funeral service on Thursday-April 19, 2018 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S.
