Albert T. Amos

Albert T. Amos, 71 of Washington passed away peacefully on Wednesday-March 2, 2022 following a lengthy illness with his family by his side.  He was born July 5, 1950 in Arlington, Virginia the son of the late Lee Chester and Alyce Elizabeth Little Amos Sr.  Mr. Amos served in the United States Army for two years as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War.  After being honorably discharged from the Army, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for twelve years.  Mr. Amos enjoyed reading and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

On October 19, 2002 he married Annemarie Amos who survives.  Also surviving is his former wife, Linda Catherine Amos of Washington; a son, Timothy S. Amos of Washington; two daughters, Caitlin (Ken) Carlisle of Viburnum, Missouri and Margaret C. Amos of Washington; a stepson, Lee Sutterfield of Washington; a stepdaughter, Susan Megyesy of Washington; a brother, Michael Amos of Washington; a sister, June (Lloyd Sr.) Crowley of Meadowlands; six grandchildren, Madeleine, Cash, Ben, Silas, Jessica and Stephen and two nieces, Kelley (Joseph Nolte) Crowley and Melanie Donahoo.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Amos was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Amos Jr. and Daniel Amos; a sister, Phyllis Donahoo and a nephew, Lloyd Crowley Jr.
