Kathleen Dicks

Kathleen “Kathy” Hassett Dicks, 74, of Washington, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023.  She was born on July 24, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late John “Moon” and Bridget “Delia” Hassett.  Mrs. Dicks was employed with Washington County where she worked for many years in the Prothonotary Office and retired from the District Attorney’s office after approximately 30 years. 

On June 7, 1969, Kathy married David L. Dicks who survives.  Also surviving is a daughter, Dawn (Mark Setto) Dicks of Pittsburgh, PA; a son, David (Laurelle) Dicks of Washington, PA; a brother, John “Jack” (Kathy) Hassett; two sisters, Gerri Hasset and Nora (Ron) Jays; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Dicks.

Kathy was an avid reader of mystery books, especially Agatha Christie.  She also loved watching classic movies on TCM. 

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 10, 2023, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.   A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:30 A.M at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Strabane Volunteer Fire Department at 172 Oak Springs Road Washington, PA 15301.  Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
