John Carl Vogini, O.D.

John “Jack” Carl Vogini, O.D., 72, of Canonsburg, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025.  Dr. Vogini was born on June 6, 1953 and grew up in Monongahela, PA, a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Barone) Vogini.  Jack was a graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Waynesburg University before completing his studies at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.

Dr. Vogini devoted 46 years of his life to the practice of optometry, providing compassionate care to his patients.  Those who knew Jack cherished his quick wit and humor.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Catherine (Kuszaj) Vogini; son, Adam (Susan) Vogini of Canonsburg; daughter, Sara (Nicholas) Wilkes, of Beaver, and grandchildren, Nathan Vogini, Juliana Vogini, and Lyla Wilkes.  He is also survived by his brother, Michael Vogini of Allison Park, several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.  Never far from his side was the family dachshund, Leo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, Washington, PA on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
