Ruth Ann Holmes, 81 of Washington passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026. She was born January 25, 1945 in Washington, PA a daughter of the late Donald and Anna Lycett Kreger. Mrs. Holmes was a 1963 graduate of Trinity High School and was Christian by faith. She was employed by JCPenney as a credit and sales supervisor for 45 years until her retirement. Mrs. Holmes enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and camping. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her husband, Jack L. Holmes passed away on October 9, 2017. Surviving is a son, Jack L. (Jami) Holmes Jr. of Washington; a daughter, Jill R. Todd of Washington; two sisters, Beverly (Tom) Holmes of Ohio and Donna (Frank) Dorsey of East Finley, PA; two grandchildren, Kayla (Jacob) Brownlee and Jessica (Jacob Phillips) Holmes and a great grandson, Beau Reed Brownlee. Also surviving is her companion, Ed Hicks of Linesville, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Raymond Kreger and by a son in law, Ron Todd.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 in the funeral home.
