Loved Spending Time with Great Grandchildren

Josie Burke, 77 of Washington formerly of Westerville, Ohio died at 6:25 A.M. on Wednesday-December 30, 2015 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  She was born November 17, 1938 in Atlasburg, Pa. the daughter of the late Anthony and Tessie Louring Kershinsky.  Mrs. Burke worked as a waitress at Wayne’s Steak House in California and also at Fisher’s Restaurant in Ohio.  She also worked as a custodian at Big Walnut High School in Ohio from where she retired.  Mrs. Burke loved her two cats; Harold and Squeaky.  She loved spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren.

Mrs. Burke is survived by one daughter; Janette Barni of Washington, four grandchildren; Jennifer Strawn, Giargina Strawn, Joie Barni and Jeremiah Barni, two great grandchildren; Izabella Richards and Jaxson Richards.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her mother and father, Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her husband; William Burke, one son; Joseph Barni, eight brothers; Walter, Michael, Victor, Frank, Stanley, William, Joseph and James Tebalt and by four sisters; Frances Owens, Dorothy Zithvich, Helen Tebalt and Mary Tebalt.

There will be no public visitation.  Entombment will be private in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc, Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S.
