Rosemarie Masiyowski, 87 of Washington, Pa., died Monday-November 16, 2015 at the Washington Hospital. She was known as Marie to her family and friends, and Grandma Choo-Choo to her grandchildren. She was born January 13, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pa. the daughter of Fred and Rose Stein. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1946.
Surviving is the love of her life, her husband of 65 years, Pete Masiyowski. She was the devoted mother to her two children, daughter; Becky Papson and son; John (Marylou) Masiyowski. Marie was dearly loved by her four grandchildren; Greg (Natalie) Papson, Mike (Melissa) Papson, Sabrina (Ben) Foote and Nik Masiyowski, and her great grandchildren; Ben, James, Abby Rose and Rachel Eleanor-Marie.
Marie was a devout Catholic at the Immaculate Conception Parish. She enjoyed family parties, feeding the birds off her porch, shopping at her favorite stores, and the time spent with her children and grandchildren. All those blessed to know Marie, will miss her infectious smile, kind heart, and bags of candy.
At the request of the family there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday-November 19, 2015 in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Those wishing to attend the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the John F. Kennedy Scholarship Fund, JFK Catholic School, 111 W. Spruce St. Washington, Pa. 15301.
