Richard D. "Dick" Spencer Sr.

Richard D. “Dick” Spencer Sr., 71 of Washington died Friday-April 22, 2016 at 12:15 p.m. at the Washington County Health Center after a brief illness.  He was born November 24, 1944 in Connellsville the son of the late Harry & Thelma I. Phillips Spencer.  Mr. Spencer was employed as an independent Truck Driver for Kaplan Trucking for over 20 years.  He enjoyed drag racing, Nascar and loved politics. 

On June 26, 1965 he married Delores A. Brach Spencer who survives.  Also surviving is a son;Richard D. (April) Spencer Jr. of Marianna, two daughters; Dea Spencer of Washington & Danielle Spencer of Washington, a brother; Harry (Joyce) Spencer of Beallsville, a sister; Alice (Ray) Carl of Washington, six grandchildren; Levi Spencer, Angelena Poland, Diamond Spencer, Paige Spencer, Ian Spencer, & Dillon Spencer, two great grandchildren; Melina Poland &Jacob Spencer. 

Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by two brothers; Wayne Spencer & William Spencer. 

At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.  Burial will be private. A “Celebration of His Life” will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home,Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S.
