Maxine Lurilda Miller

Maxine Lurilda Miller “Beloved Wife, Mother and Nana” Maxine Lurilda Miller ended her journey on Earth as she went home to be with the Lord, Monday-September 1, 2014, surrounded by her children at Hawthorne Woods. “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31: 28-29. Mrs. Miller died of natural causes. She was born October 6, 1928 in Washington, daughter of the late Ressie and Lurilda Stansberry Estep. Mrs. Miller attended Washington High School and was a member of Avery United Methodist Church, Washington. Mrs. Miller spent her time as a devoted wife and mother. She loved and nurtured her family. She shared that love fostering children over the years. Her example of a loving mother has been passed down the generations. On July 3, 1945, she married Lawrence “Bruz” Wilbert Miller of Washington, who is deceased. They were blessed with a beautiful marriage of 66 years. Surviving are two daughters; Sherry (Terry) Moyer and Kathy (Michael) Silich, a son; Joseph Miller, grandchildren; Heidi (Chad) Taggart and Joshua (Elisabeth) Moyer of Pittsburgh, Nicole (Joshua) White of Ohio, Tara (Adam) Stewart of Ohio and Ashleigh, Jessica, Danielle and Gabrielle Miller, great grandchildren; Karina, Selah and Mateo Taggart, Abigail, Eleanor and Carolyn Moyer, Jasper White, Judah, Silas and Shiloh Stewart, Delanie Rayne, brother; Jerry (Marlene) Estep, sister; Phyllis (Jack) Haines, brother-in-law; John (Judy) Miller, sister-in-laws; Eleanor Estep, Opal Pierson, Evelyn Spriggs and Penny Miller and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a brother; Jack Estep, brother-in-laws; Albert Pierson, William Spriggs, Edward Miller and Paul Miller, sister-in-law; Barbara Miller, and great granddaughter; Ruby Irene White. Friends will be received on Thursday-September 4, 2014 from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. Additional visitation will be held on Friday-September 5, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. the hour of a funeral service at Life Church, corner of Main and Chestnut Streets, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
