Laura Marie Watt, 85 of Washington died Thursday-August 10, 2017 at Consulate Retirement Village of North Strabane after a lengthy illness.  She was born January 11, 1932 in Beallsville the daughter of the late Louise Nickeson.  Mrs. Watt was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  She was a 1949 graduate of Trinity High School, and a 1952 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing.  She had been employed for many years at the Washington Hospital as a staff nurse, a nurse supervisor and an instructor in staff development.  She had also been a member of the Washington Hospital Alumni Association.  Mrs. Watt loved to read, loved working in her garden and bird watching but most of all spending quality time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Her life was always about taking care of others and her love and care for her family. She loved her family deeply. 

On August 23, 1952 she married Clair E. Watt of Washington who survives.  Also surviving are two sons; John P. (Theresa Marie) Watt of Lone Pine & James P. (Judy Lee) Watt of Prosperity, three daughters; Catherine Ann Smith of Canonsburg, Mary Barbara (David) Beddow of Amity, & Clare M. (Patrick) Gallagher of Upper St. Clair, 9 grandchildren; Jeffrey (Nicole) Smith, Jessica Smith, Brian (Chelsey) Smith, Gregory Smith, Christopher Watt, Valerie (Eric) McHugh, Monica (Justin) Gray, Shannon Gallagher & Michael Gallagher, 8 great- grandchildren; Austin Smith, Owen Smith, Tyler Smith, Damian Smith, Tristan Smith, Madeline Gray, Hannah Gray & Kenzie McHugh.

Friends will be received on Sunday-August 13, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A prayer service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday-August 14, 2017 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington with the Rev. William P. Feeney as celebrant.  Entombment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery St. James Mausoleum.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W.
