William Stewart Pearl Sr.

1947 - 2022

William Stewart Pearl Sr., 74 of Washington passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 peacefully in his sister’s home.   He was born November 13, 1947 in Washington, PA a son of the late Wilson E. and Anna Mae Burgess Pearl.

Bill was a 1967 graduate of Trinity High School.  His first job was at Buck Cicero’s car wash and later in life he worked as a TV repair person for the Washington, Waynesburg and Brownsville hospitals.   He also worked for Metro and Brockway Glass in Washington, Pa and Carr Lowry Glass Factory of Baltimore MD.  He was the first Black Hot End Operator in Washington PA.  Bill also worked in maintenance at Washington and Jefferson College and at Lowe’s in Washington in addition to owning and operating Pearl’s TV Shop.

He was a Mason and belonged to the Pythagoras Lodge # 148 in Canonsburg, PA.  Bill was the last surviving member of his lodge.

He loved to watch The Mecum Auto Show, visit the Casino, and drive his Cadillac XLR convertible around town.

Surviving is one son, William S. Pearl Jr.; two grandsons, Troy Jackson and Victor Pearl; a sister, Priscilla Rivera-Ethridge; a special nephew, Mariano Rivera (Mario) and Dene’ Rivera (Mario’s wife) and a niece and God-Daughter, Leanna Rivera-Darden; a special brother and friend, Leonard Kelly and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Also surviving is his special pet dog, Harley Boy that will miss him greatly.

Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. the hour of a funeral service on Tuesday-April 5, 2022 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N.
