John Allan McCullough

John Allan “Mac” McCullough, 89 of Washington passed away unexpectedly on Thursday-April 7, 2022 in the Washington Hospital.  He was born September 24, 1932 in Waynesburg, PA the son of the late James J. and Norma B. McCullough.  Mr. McCullough was a graduate of Washington High School where he was a member of the wrestling team.  He attended Rochester College before enlisting in the United States Army.  He served in the Army from 1954 until 1956 during the Korean War receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  Following his honorable discharge from the military, Mr. McCullough began a career where he worked for various printing companies across the country throughout his life.  He was Christian by faith.  Mr. McCullough was affectionately known as “Mac” and he loved to hang out with friends at Applebee’s, the Dog House and Laverne’s in Greene County.  He also enjoyed spending time with his coal miner buddies from Enlow Fork Mine.  “Mac” will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Surviving is his best friend, Rick “Milo” Malachosky of Washington.  Several friends and those that loved him and enjoyed his company also survive.

Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday-April 20, 2022 in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd. Bridgeville, PA 15017.  Full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175 and the United States Army.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S.
