Rev. Linda L. Clemons

Rev. Linda L. Clemons, 73, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in her home following a lengthy illness.  She was born January 25, 1951, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Edgar H. and Addieva Griffin Johnson.  Rev. Clemons was a graduate of Washington High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh.  She also received a Master’s Degree from LaRoche College and later in life received her Master’s in Divinity which she was extremely proud of.  Rev. Clemons worked for many years as a certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.  She was a long-time member and Associate Minister of Nazareth Baptist Church.  Rev. Clemons was a member of the NAACP and was a member of the Wash High School Board.  She enjoyed ministering to all people, especially to the ladies at the Washington County Correctional Facility and at the Washington City Mission.  Rev. Clemons was the rock of her family who came to her for spiritual guidance and wisdom.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Her husband of over 50 years, Albert L. “Bucky” Clemons preceded her in death.  Surviving is a daughter, Dana (Keith) Morman of Pittsburgh, PA; two sons, Kenn (Kendra) Clemons of Washington, PA, and Todd (Calli) Clemons of Lewis Center, OH; two brothers, Edgar Johnson, Jr. of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Jeff Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Deborah Cuspard of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Sherrod Naylor, Kavon Morman, Cierra Clemons, Caiya Clemons, and Kaleb Ware.  Two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. 

Friends will be received on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. at the Nazareth Baptist Church, 123 N. Lincoln Street, Washington, PA 15301.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the church.  Interment will be private.
