Jeffrey Alan Spriggs
/Jeffrey Alan Spriggs, 73, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
On September 2, 1977, he married his wife, Janet C. Spriggs, who survives. He was her gift from God after praying for a husband who loved the Lord.
He is survived also by his devoted son, Jeffrey Lucian Spriggs, who shared his father’s love for his God and music. Jeff was the son of the late Charles H. Spriggs, Sr. and Julia Sewock Spriggs.
He and his late brother, Charles H. Spriggs Jr. “Chaz” husband of Jill Stanley Spriggs serviced the Washington and surrounding musical communities with the family business, Sprigg’s House of Music, on West Chestnut Street.
A child prodigy in music he memorized Mozart at the age of four, taught by his grandmother a concert pianist. He continued a musical study that included the 5-manual organ. Jeff was also a pianist, organist, and keyboardist who mastered every genre of music and arranged as well.
His love of God and music included positions at Library Baptist Church, Peters Creek Baptist, and his final church home at Trinity Bible Fellowship.
An employee of Toshiba Business Systems in remote support, Jeff loved his work and was a dedicated employee.
He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Scott Clark, with whom he lived; brother-in-law, Danny Clark, S.C. (Wife Terri), and beloved cousin, Betty Russo.
There will be no visitation at the request of the deceased. A memorial service to be announced at a future date will be held at Trinity Bible Fellowship, 1350 Park Avenue, Washington, PA 15301 under the direction of Pastor Michael Roach. Memorial contributions may be sent to the church in lieu of flowers. John 3:16
