Larry Rawlins

Larry Rawlins, 76, of West Alexander, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Washington Hospital. He was born on March 31, 1949, in Ironton, Ohio to the late Thomas and Phyllis Rawlins. Larry was the youngest of five children and was the last remaining member of his immediate family.
Larry attended Piedmont College on a basketball scholarship where he became the first person in his family to graduate from college. He was a teacher, coach, and Athletic Director at McGuffey School District until his retirement in 2003. Larry was inducted into the McGuffey Sports Hall of Fame and was the former WPIAL Wrestling Committee Chairman and President of the Washington County Athletic Directors Association. He served as the Administrator of the Washington Moose International Lodge and the American Legion Hunt-Kennedy Post #639. Upon graduation from college, Larry served in the United States Navy as an officer stationed in Jacksonville, Florida and Savannah, Georgia. He enjoyed various golf leagues with his many friends, Ohio State athletics and getting coffee at Mister Donut and Donut Connection.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Donna Rawlins, his daughter, Cam Johnson (Dan) and his son, Nicholas Rawlins (Abby) along with his four grandsons, Nate, Carsen, Brice and Tucker. He is also survived by his partner, Kim Taylor and his cherished dog, Milo.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. At the request of Larry, all services will be private. Burial with Full Military Rites accorded by the United States Navy and the American Legion Hunt-Kennedy Post #639 will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
