Brenda Sue Saunders
/Brenda Sue Saunders, 71, of Washington, PA, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Friday, January 9, 2026. Brenda, also lovingly known as “Zenda,” was born in Washington, PA on September 16, 1954, to the late Jack Dagg and Nancy Keene.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her first husband, Dave Saunders, and his parents, Marilyn and Will Saunders, who loved her dearly. She was also preceded in death by her beloved Aunt, Betty Manrow, Aunt, Gerry Sommer, and her brother-in-law, Danny Horner.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 17 years, Bernie Froats; her sister, Kim Sams; her children, Damara (Bill) VanBeneden, Desiré (Josh) Krawchyk, Melanie (Josh) Marshman, and Eric (Nikki) Holt; her grandchildren, Will, Sara, Ellie, Mason, Landon, Parker, Cami, and Bodhi; family members, Alice Dagg, Deana Stranges, A.J. Stranges, Adam VanBeneden; many dear friends; and her loyal dog, Ava.
Brenda was a proud Trinity graduate, where she enjoyed performing as a majorette. She went on to become a skilled multifunctional dental assistant, a career she dedicated many years to before retiring. Brenda loved fun in the sun, especially boating with a beverage in hand, and escaping Pennsylvania winters in Florida with Bernie.
Never one to sugarcoat things, you always knew where you stood with Brenda. She showed her love through cooking for others and thoughtful gift-giving. She enjoyed crocheting, decorating, dancing to The Clarks and was an avid reader. Her lifelong love for dogs and horses was always present, never without a dog or two by her side. Rest assured, she was joyfully greeted at the gates by many wagging tails of her furry friends who went before her.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or to an animal rescue of one’s choice.
