Phyllis Zavatski
/Phyllis Zavatski, 91 of Washington, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was a cherished mother, wife and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed.
Phyllis was born on October 6, 1934 in Washington, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Trinity High School in 1952. Following graduation she began working her favorite job for Bell Telephone Company as a Switchboard Operator. The remainder of her career was spent in banking until her retirement.
On October 24, 1959 she married John Zavatski whom she faithfully loved and cared for until his passing in 2017. They had two daughters, Andrea and Joan. She loved cooking, baking for holidays, yard work and Jesus. Her favorite thing in life was socializing with friends and family often reminiscing and laughing about days gone by. Her daughters’ most precious memory of her were some of her final words, “You’re complete when you’re with your kids”.
She had one sister, Mildred (Bebe) Eonda who is deceased. Surviving are her daughters, Andrea Zavatski of Naples, Florida and Joan Zavatski of Palm Beach, Florida.
Final arrangements were held privately with her very immediate family and presided over by life-long family friend, Kitty Fisher.
