Joseph John Trapuzzano
/Joseph John Trapuzzano, of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 20, 2026. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his sharp wit, and the warmth and generosity he shared with everyone around him.
Joseph, fondly known as Joe, was a lifelong resident of Washington and a very loved and respected member of his community. He graduated from Washington High School and the University of Dayton with a degree in Accounting, and he carried that discipline and dedication into his professional life. He was the proud co-owner of Trapuzzano’s Uniforms, a family-run business that became the trusted name in Washington and beyond for men’s formal wear and uniform sales. His business reflected his values of hard work, family, and service, and he took great pride in building lasting relationships with neighbors and customers across the state.
Outside of his business, Joe’s greatest joys were his family, friends, and sports. He was a devoted fan of Dayton basketball and Penn State football, with Penn State football game days being the highlight of his year. Joe was famous for making Penn State fans out of everyone he met, sharing his enthusiasm with such passion that it was contagious. He also loved his community deeply - hosting parties with family and friends, playing in the Grant Street football league, and always being available with a helping hand - and some jokes - whenever anyone needed it. He truly was the most loving and generous person.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Lori; his brother, Frank; his children, Christopher (Jennifer), Andrew (Nikki), Patrick (Chaleece), Kathryn (JR), and James (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Brady, Isabella, Ryder, Nico, and Amelia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Modesto; his mother, Dana; and his first wife, Betsy.
Joe and his family are so very thankful for the excellent care he received from the compassionate staff at Woodside Place and Gateway Hospice.
Joe’s legacy is one of immense kindness, humor, and devotion to both his family and his community. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
