Barbara Wright
/Barbara Wright, born June 4, 1948, passed away July 27, 2026 surrounded by the love she inspired throughout her life. She was the beloved daughter of John and Francis Kolanko. Barbara is survived by her sister, Jayne Whitehead, and Jayne's husband, William Whitehead; her son, Richard J. Riesmeyer; and her daughter, Renee J. Hillebrand, and Renee's husband, Jason Hillebrand.
Barbara “Mimi” was an immensely proud grandmother. Her grandchildren, in order of age, are Tyler Hillebrand and his wife, KerriAnn Hillebrand; Austin Hillebrand; Addison Hillebrand; Samantha Riesmeyer; Carson Hillebrand; Nicholas Riesmeyer; and Mason Hillebrand. Spending time with her grandchildren brought Barbara “Mimi” the greatest joy, and she cherished every moment she shared with them and looked forward to the next generation coming soon. She was also survived by her nephews, Mathew (Danielle) Whitehead & Adam (Mindy) Whitesmith whom she loved as well.
Barbara enjoyed playing cards, watching her soap operas, game shows and the Hallmark Channel, visiting the local library, sitting in the sunshine, cooking, and reading books after many hard years of working. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She generously served her community by volunteering at the voting polls and was a member of the Lions Club in Jefferson Hills for many years.
Barbara will be remembered for the love she gave, the friendships she nurtured, and the pride she took in her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. A Departing Prayers of Transfer Service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, August 10, 2026 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, St. James Parish, 340 Henderson Ave., Washington, with the Rev. Alec Scheuer as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Twp., PA. The family requests that no flowers be sent to the Funeral Home.
