Patricia Stinely

Patricia Stinely, 93 of Washington, PA passed away peacefully in her home on July 31, 2026, surrounded by family. Patricia was born May 23, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA.  A graduate of Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing, she met her husband, Regis Stinely, while working as a Registered Nurse at Pittsburgh Hospital. They married December 29, 1956 and shared 66 years together before his passing in 2022. 

Patricia and Regis welcomed five children into their family, many while traveling the world during Regis’ naval deployments.  The family lived in Oakland, CA and Guam before settling in Washington, PA.  Wherever Patricia went, she made a home.

More than anything, Patricia was a kind and welcoming presence, often expressing love with her passion for entertaining and food.  Her doors were open to family and friends alike, with elaborate spreads prepared for holidays, birthdays, and Steelers games, often to a soundtrack of Johnny Mathis or Frank Sinatra.  She believed in celebrating properly—candy dishes were full, Halloween costumes were handmade and award-winning, and every branch of her Christmas tree had an ornament.  A devout Catholic, she was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church, where her faith quietly guided how she lived.  She also had a love of plants and animals, with full flower beds each spring and always a dog by her side. 

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Regis Stinely.

She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Smith (Robert Smith); her five children, Nancy Stinely (Robin Berman), Michael Stinely (Kathy Stinely), Susan Eles (Gustav Eles), Jennifer Stinely, and James Stinely; four grandchildren, Neal Eles, James Eles, Patrick Stinely, and Liam Stinely; and one great grandchild, Wesley Eles.  They will carry her stories forward.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director.  A Departing Prayers of Transfer Service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut St., Washington.  Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either St. James Parish, 119 W.
