Thelma May "Babe" DeBolt

Thelma May “Babe” DeBolt, 101 of Washington formerly of Thomas Campbell Apartments & Strabane Trails died Thursday-August 18, 2016 at 6:40 p.m. at the Washington County Health Center. She was born August 27, 1915 in Morgantown, West Virginia the daughter of the late Homer & Alberta Strahin Sinclair. Mrs. DeBolt enjoyed sewing and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was a lifelong devoted Pirates Fan. She truly loved her family and friends. She was a past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Washington Chapter 409. She was very loving and caring at her profession, “A Stay at Home Mom”.

On February 3, 1936 she married “The Love of Her Life”, Leonard DeBolt who died January 16, 1993. Surviving is a son; James L. DeBolt Jr., a brother; Vance Kelly Sinclair of Fresno, California, a grandson; Scott David (Carol G.) DeBolt, Retired Lt. Col. United States Army, great granddaughters; Monika E. DeBolt (Brad) Chiesa, Stephanie L. DeBolt, & Marlee Scott DeBolt, various nieces & nephews also survive.

Mrs. DeBolt was preceded in death by her grandson; James Matthew DeBolt D.O.

Friends will be received on Tuesday-August 23, 2016 at the Avery United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. the hour of a funeral service with the Rev. Erik Hoeke officiating. Burial will be private.
