Charles A. “Chuck” Manning, 68 of Washington died unexpectedly on Monday-December 31, 2018 in his home following a lengthy illness.  He was born January 5, 1950 in Washington, PA the son of the late Charles K. and Louise Provenzano Manning.  Mr. Manning graduated from Immaculate Conception High School.  He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and was a longtime usher at 4:00 P.M. Sunday Mass.  Mr. Manning was also the bingo coordinator in the I.C. Church Hall for many years.  He dealt with rare coins since the age of 12.  Mr. Manning was the owner and operator of Manning’s Gold Mart on Main St. in Washington and was the first gold and silver recycler in Washington opening in 1975.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

On March 31, 1986 he married the late Barbara J. Hadix

Mr. Manning is survived by an uncle; Larry (Elaine) Manning of Washington and by a cousin; Elyse (Bill) Ferry of Grove City.  Several cousins also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Manning was preceded in death by his step-father; Leo Skiviat.

At the request of Mr. Manning there will be no public visitation.  The public is welcome to attend a committal service at 11:00 A.M. on Friday-January 4, 2019 in the chapel of Immaculate Conception Cemetery.  Interment will follow in the cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W.
