Blue Ribbon Baker Passes Away

Sylvia Margaret “Peggy” Tinkey passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 19th.  Peggy was born on December 29, 1938 to William and Lorena Mounts.  She was the loving wife of the late William E. Tinkey and mother to William C. Tinkey and Wendy O’Kain.  She was a devoted grandmother to Travis Tinkey, Amanda Kelley and Jamie Kelley.

Throughout her life, Peggy had a passion for baking and had over 1,000 county fair ribbons to her credit.  No one could leave her house without being thoroughly fed and taking baked goods with them. Her baking, sense of humor and never-ending love will be missed, but her spirit will live on within us.

Deceased, in addition to her parents are her sister, Wanda Barbour and her brother, William Mounts.  She is survived by her sisters, Sandra (Les) Gililland and Sheila (Joseph) Lunn.

Funeral services will be private and private burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, PA.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S.
