John W. Richman

John W. Richman, a Washington, PA businessman and real estate enthusiast, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from heart disease. The son of Ben H. Richman and Bessie Wilner Richman, John was born on September 28, 1936.  John recently celebrated his 89th birthday surrounded by family.

John served in the U.S. Navy.  He was the retired owner of I. Richman & Co., a scrap metals firm founded by his grandfather.  John oversaw an extensive real estate portfolio throughout his life.  He was an avid walker.  John enjoyed golf, sunshine, playing cards, and traveling with his late wife, Shirley.   

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; his father, Ben; his mother, Bessie; and his brother, Stephen.

He is survived by his three children, Dr. Cynthia L. Schuler (Milton J.), Andrew M. Richman and Aimee R. Hendricks; two granddaughters, Stephanie (John) Allison and Natalie (Frank) Rocchio; and three great-grandchildren, Mason, Seraphina, and Samuel.
