Claudia Jean Hargrove

Claudia Jean Hargrove, age 80, of Washington, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 after a brief illness.  She was born October 26, 1944 in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Lee P. Hull and Nita J. Hull.

Claudia was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Walter Hargrove; son, Phillip D. Hull; grandparents, Robert and Rebecca Haynes; brother, Anthony W. Hull; sister, Rebecca (Moses) Bailey; and niece, Nita L. Bailey.

She was a retired long-time public servant of the Washington County Treasurer’s Office for 38 years and was sworn in as acting county Treasurer in 1994.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Erin R. Mitchell (Tony) of Lilburn, GA, and two sons, Patrick R. Hull (Tina) of Monessen, PA and Garrett C. Hull of S. Strabane Twp., PA; special niece, Tara Armstead (Reverend Tony) of McDonald, PA; grandchildren, Robert L. Lester Jr. of Summerville, GA; Phillip Hull Jr.; and Patrick Hull of Morgantown WV; brothers, James R. (Diane) Hull, Stephen L. (Antonia) Hull and David L. Hull all of Washington, PA.  Several great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and her special friends, Louise, Cookie, and Patsy also survive. She leaves behind many other family and friends who loved her and will miss her.

The family will receive friends at the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., with a Memorial Service in celebration of her life from 2:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. officiated by the Reverend Tony Armstead.  A repass for friends and relatives will follow from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Monday at Eventful Dates located at 54 W. Wheeling St. Washington, PA 15301. Claudia will be interred at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
