Joseph John Kozdra Jr.

Joseph John Kozdra Jr., age 81, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.  He was born August 5, 1943, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Kozdra.  Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Barbara Kozdra of 40 years; Daughters, Jolynn (David) Kisner, Kathleen (Homer) Brown, and Kristie (Brian) Caparoula; Son, Paul (Haylee) Kozdra; 11 grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; Siblings, Rebecca Kozdra and Alan Kozdra, as well as his nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Joe was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School class of 1961 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He worked as a Machinist Journeyman Level with McGraw-Edison Co., Montour #4 Coal Mine and Vesta 5 Mine. Joe was an over the road trucker for North American Van Lines.  He spent 16 years with Washington Steel Corporation and received the title of Journeyman Electrical Level, and 8 years with Union Electric Steel, where he retired.  In his free time Joe loved to hunt deer, convert buses, and spend time at camp in Tidioute, PA.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Friends will be received on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until  5:00 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director.  Departing Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, July 21, 2025 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, 605 Hewitt Ave., Washington with the Rev.
