Janet Lynn Capo

Janet Lynn Capo, 70 of Washington passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026 in the Washington Hospital.  She was born February 6, 1956 in Washington, PA a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Armstrong Hayes.  Mrs. Capo was Christian by faith and was a graduate of Washington High School.  She earned her E.M.T. certification in Washington County and went on to graduate from the Center for Emergency Medicine in Pittsburgh, where she earned her Paramedic certification.  Mrs. Capo worked as a Paramedic for over twenty five years at the Meadows Racetrack and for Ambulance and Chair in Washington.  She was a former member and active fire fighter of the Canton Township Volunteer Fire Company.  Mrs. Capo was also a member and Treasurer of the Red Knights Chapter 13 Motorcycle Club.  She enjoyed riding on the motorcycle with her husband.  Most of all, Mrs. Capo loved spending time with her granddaughter, Riley.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On August 16, 1980 she married Patsy L. Capo who survives.  Also surviving is a son, Patsy A. (Erin) Capo of Newport, PA; a daughter, Jillian (Alan DeJohn) McVay of Canonsburg, PA; a sister, Kara Hayes of New Jersey and a granddaughter, Riley McVay.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hayes.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 in the funeral home with the Rev.
