Shirley Jean Stazko, 86 passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 29, 1940, a daughter of the late Lloyd L. and Harriet N. Keenan. Shirley attended Trinity High School and was employed as a box inspector at Black Box Corporation from where she retired. Shirley will be remembered for her distinctive style, beautiful smile and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. Even during her illness, she continued to show kindness and concern for all those who cared for her in her final days.

Shirley loved spending time with her siblings, watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, making wreaths and floral arrangements, and watching her “stories” on television. In recent years, she enjoyed the companionship of her darling dog, Sadie. Above all, Shirley cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to her four daughters and a loving “Nanny” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love, strength and bright spirit touched generations of her family, and her memory will remain forever in their hearts. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are three daughters, Brenda (Thomas) Shields III of Venetia, Georgea Hopkins of Sneedville, Tennessee and Bobbie Clark of Washington, with whom she shared her home; five grandchildren, Cory (Ashley) Clark, Mackenzie (Andy) Hodak, Ashley (Peyton) Miller, Matthew Clark and Thomas Shields IV as well as eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia (James) Kearns, Ruby Keeney, Mary Berdine, and Linda (George) Pescho; four brothers, Larry (Barbara) Keenan, Jerry (Cynthia) Keenan, Daniel (Gerri) Keenan, and Kenneth Keenan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Barbara Carroll and by six brothers, Lloyd Keenan Jr., James Keenan, Richard Keenan, Donald Keenan, Charles Keenan and John Keenan.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. the hour of a funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. The Rev. Sue Petritis will officiate. Interment will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
