Barbara A. DeFurio

Barbara A. Orlosky DeFurio, 94, of Washington died Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Town View Health & Rehabilitation Center.  She was born September 14, 1932 in Washington, a daughter of the late John E. Smith and Mary H. Markow Smith.  She was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School.  Mrs. DeFurio had been employed for many years at Bell Telephone Company.  She was also employed for over a decade at First National Bank, until her retirement.  Mrs. DeFurio was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church where she was active as a greeter.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Washington Hospital, belonging to the Red Hat Society and most of all spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

On July 3, 1954 she married Nicholas Orlosky who died October 7, 1993.  On April 28, 2001 she married Carmon H. DeFurio who died August 18, 2020.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ann (Charles) Beam; four sons, Michael (Joyce) Orlosky, Patrick (Kellie) Orlosky, Timothy Orlosky and Robert Orlosky, and a brother, John (Elizabeth) Smith; two stepsons, Robert (Susan) DeFurio and Donald (Sueanne) DeFurio; eleven grandchildren, Steven (Christine) Orlosky, Kevin (Leanne) Orlosky, Mark (Jamie) Orlosky, Melissa (Daniel) Glancy, Nicole (Sean) Smith, Daniel Orlosky, Diana (Vincent) Reda, Eric (Hannah) Orlosky, Ryan (Will Rumley) Orlosky, Tiffani Orlosky and Ethan Orlosky; twelve great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jacob, Connor, Logan, Evan, Emelyn, Everett, Liam Orlosky, Andrew and Nicholas Glancy, Aiden and Paige Smith; five step grandchildren, David, Roger, Brad, Carrie and Christie DeFurio.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends will be received on Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director.  A Departing Prayers of Transfer Service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, September 21, 2026 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, St. James Parish, 340 Henderson Ave., Washington with the Rev. Alec Scheuer as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, Washington Citizens Library and or St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church Church.  Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
